14. Cloud-Perch Cave

This book is adapted and illustrated based on Chapters 18 and 19 of the classical literary masterpiece 'Journey to the West'. The story depicts the events in Gao Village of the Kingdom of Wusizang, where Elder Gao has taken a demon as his son-in-law. Elder Gao sends people to seek out a sage, hoping to capture the demon and annul the marriage. By chance, Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong pass by Gao Village and accept Elder Gao's commission to subdue the demon. Wukong pursues the demon to the Cloud Path Cave and subdues Zhu Bajie. Bajie then becomes a disciple of Tang Sanzang and, together with him, departs from Gao Village to journey westward.
