4. Hulao Pass

In the Romance, the lords of the Eight Passes muster to chastise Dong. Wenhou Lü Bu beheads Dong Zhuo; Liu and Guan join battle with him; Guan Yu breaks Dong’s forces and Dong withdraws toward Luoyang. The lords pursue, but are met with Cao Cao’s fires; Lü Bu nurses his grudge, divides his troops, and the several commands fall into rout and scatter.
